Late morning.Looking over your Notes in the conclusion of yesterday's blog page. - Amorella
1148 hours. Simply put, I am collecting, as I see it, the basic elemental conditions found in each, the heart and soul and mind. For example, Hot and Cold are the conditionals of the Heart. Within the conditionals rest the graduated, mixed emotions and feelings of human warmth and coldness (from a weakened to indifferent to strong state; raw, self-studied and harmonized emotions and feelings with those eventually conscious and personally accepting or unaccepting the individual balances of emotions and feelings within the heart). How else would one know herorhis heart without such study? Without such study, formal or otherwise, one may be in a near constant state of utter confusion, at least well within the deeper heart, the mortal part safely secure within the shell, as it were, of the soul. The focus here is on one's greater Humanity-in-the-Soul not the psychological and behavioral states of the Living. This is a metaphysical state of the deeper heart in its consciousness, embedding as it were, within the Soul. This is the state of the heart of one physical Dead yet still fully conscious whether the heart likes it or not -- a human reality rarely contemplated by the Living -- a similar alternate reality which the Living may gain experience under hypnosis (and where I have gained such experience). Afternoon. You are waiting for Carol at the south door of Macy's while she is looking for hose and sox for the both of you. Late lunch at McD's and perhaps a Graeter's after. The temperature is dropping with a Polar vortex sliding in tonight through Thursday to perhaps a thirty-seven below wind chill somewhere in the mix.
1407 hours. The two basic elemental conditionals for the mind are Wet and Dry. The dry reasoning is easy enough to follow but there is a slippery slope of false reasoning and rationalization to muddy the way. The intellect, at least for me, leans towards wisdom as matters of the heart and soul lean in the mix providing for human clarity in one's life of personal moral decision making. Nothing appears ironclad in my world of the Living. Most learn to be consciously aware of their shortcomings of the heart, which, it seems to me, are easier to bear than the shortcomings of the intellect. For the Dead, in here at least, the epitome of the old seven deadly sins versus the seven virtues weathering in one's cultural and personal morals when ready to meet one's full personal judgment whether it's purely existential or rather by a seemingly higher nearby spiritual authority of one's on unconscious making or angelic in spiritual nature. Intellectually separating an unconsciously recognized truth of one's self from dubious rationalization is a constant struggle for personal human intellectual clarity. Realizing one's conscious existing after physical death brings up the need for clarity in what part of the mind survives the ordeal of Life. If a personal consciousness exists at all would appear to cause shock and the need for further contemplation. Otherwise, if consciousness dissipates into the worldly air at physical death it would, to me, still cause a wonder without fear as it happened. (1502)
Late afternoon. Are you rationalizing, boy? - Amorella
1654 hours. You just asked but in a flash before that was my thought. I re-read both and don't feel that I am rationalizing. I am constantly aware when I write the blog that self-deception is a human characteristic. I attempt to avoid it.

rationalization- noun. 1 the action of attempting to explain or justify behavior or an attitude with logical reasons, even if these are not appropriate: most people are prone to self-deceptive rationalization | they justify themselves with ingenious rationalizations.

You focus on your many years of teaching selected readings from Chaucer's Canterbury Tales and Milton's Paradise Lost, and as such, like literary moral lessons are will infused in who you are and who you were as a teacher of literature. You have considered such dilemmas and quandaries throughout the years of the first blog, "Encounters in Mind". - Post. Amorella
