       Mid-morning. You are at the Lewis Center Barber Shop lot waiting for your ten o'clock appointment. Carol is home mowing the yard where it needs it. - Amorella

       0945 hours. Life as it is. I can't remember exactly when I had my hair cut and beard trimmed but I think it was in June before our Florida trip. Anyway, I look like a mountain man, at least from the neck up. Well, I assume this is how others see me. Otherwise, I am a big old fat fellow with bad arthritis, especially in the knees and it shows with how I stand and walk. I naturally smile at people though and in the grocery sometimes people say hello or smile back. That's my assessment of how people see me. (0951)

       Carol said your hair looks better. She had taken a break and began again to finish up then shower because you have a one-fifteen lunch with Kim between her work teleconferencing. - Amorella

       1105 hours. I had a good time at the barber shop -- lots of jokes and stories -- very much an old fashion barber shop from my perspective. They have redone the inside; it looks clean and sharp with just the right number of old pictures on the wall -- very classy with four chairs. The barbers are Chance, the one I usually go to, Marion and Bentley. A new one has been hired part time and she'll be full time in October. She graduated in the same barber class that Chance and Marion did. I didn't catch her name. 

       You are feeling like you shouldn't have spent time writing about the barber shop. Part of doing this goes back to the Encounters in Mind blog where you dropped in things because you were afraid you'll develop Alzheimer's like your grandfather and hope that if you do you can reread your blogs to getter a better feel as to who you were. That is your real intent and thus permissible in this classroom. - mh

       1120 hours. You are providing a blessing, Ms. Havisham, because I tend to overthink after writing and I wonder what my real intent was.

       Your earlier self-description appears sound as to how people might see you in public. Old age has settled in physically and with acceptance on your part. Mentally though you are more youthful and energetic as your writings show. Your demeanor is a bit more somber though and you can be short with people and show more than an edge of old man grumpiness from time to time. - mh

       1202 hours. I can't really add much more than -- what you see is what you get. I show my attitude of the moment evidently because people who know me (family and friends) can tell when I'm in a mood and/or am unhappy about something, usually because I didn't get my way. Honesty has a way of showing itself. Sometimes I'm not very polite and stand out as rather arrogant.

Yin and yang

In Chinese philosophy, yin and yang, (yīnyáng, literally: "dark-bright", "negative-positive") is a concept of dualism in ancient Chinese philosophy, describing how seemingly opposite or contrary forces may actually be complementary, interconnected, and interdependent in the natural world, and how they may give rise to each other as they interrelate to one another.

In Chinese cosmology, the universe creates itself out of a primary chaos of material energy, organized into the cycles of Yin and Yang and formed into objects and lives. Yin is the receptive and Yang the active principle, seen in all forms of change and difference such as the annual cycle (winter and summer), the landscape (north-facing shade and south-facing brightness), sexual coupling (female and male), the formation of both men and women as characters, and sociopolitical history (disorder and order). 

There are various dynamics in Chinese cosmology. In the cosmology pertaining to Yin and Yang, the material energy, which this universe has created itself out of, is also referred to as qi. It is believed that the organization of qi in this cosmology of Yin and Yang has formed many things. Included among these forms are humans. 

Many natural dualities (such as light and dark, fire and water, expanding and contracting) are thought of as physical manifestations of the duality symbolized by yin and yang. This duality lies at the origins of many branches of classical Chinese science and philosophy, as well as being a primary guideline of traditional Chinese medicine, and a central principle of different forms of Chinese martial arts and exercise, such as baguazhang, taijiquan (t'ai chi), and qigong (Chi Kung), as well as appearing in the pages of the I Ching.

The notion of a duality can be found in many areas, such as Communities of Practice. The term "dualistic-monism" or dialectical monism has been coined in an attempt to express this fruitful paradox of simultaneous unity and duality. Yin and yang can be thought of as complementary (rather than opposing) forces that interact to form a dynamic system in which the whole is greater than the assembled parts. 

According to this philosophy, everything has both yin and yang aspects (for instance, shadow cannot exist without light). Either of the two major aspects may manifest more strongly in a particular object, depending on the criterion of the observation. 

The yin yang (i.e. taijitu symbol) shows a balance between two opposites with a portion of the opposite element in each section.

In Taoist metaphysics, distinctions between good and bad, along with other dichotomous moral judgments, are perceptual, not real; so, the duality of yin and yang is an indivisible whole. 

In the ethics of Confucianism on the other hand, most notably in the philosophy of Dong Zhongshu (c. 2nd century BC), a moral dimension is attached to the idea of yin and yang.

       I am using the Biblical phrase: "In the Beginning was the Word" as a metaphor because it is a contextual phrase you can relate to as a former teacher of English, i.e. logic, grammar, nouns and verbs, sentences and so on. - Amorella

       

       2136 hours. And, in such a metaphorical context as this, before the Word is the Spirit. 

       Done in the right spirit, such a sentence is plausible, certainly so in a story of how it is with spiritual souls working with the humanity within humankind. - Amorella

       But, the Churnings did not exist before Spiritual Consciousness. mh

       2211 hours. Ms. Havisham, are the Churnings relevant to our human concepts of nothing, space and time? 

       Nothing, Space and Time are human concepts. This is something the spiritual entities cannot answer. - Amorella

       I suggest that the Churnings relate only to the Spirit World and not even directly to us Souls that comfort and protect the spiritual heartsanminds of our charges. I have long considered that the Churnings allow a Place for Souls to exist, either empty or full, but I do not know, nor do I need to know. Needing to know appears to be a basic human trait even in the field of metaphysics. - mh

       2231 hours. I have to agree, Ms Havisham. I don't know much about what it is to be human, so for me, I have to make it up. I, an Agnostic, need to know that much. Funny, huh?

192. Notes - self-knowledge

        You are watching a beautiful orange Halloween-like sunset out your bedroom window from your black chair. Spooky is watching also. - Amorella

       2048 hours. Very funny, Amorella. It is true though - very much Halloween-like, and it would be if the temperature were lower; it is still 80 degrees according to my watch. In October it would be about 40 degrees cooler this time of day according to "Hey, Google".  The Living have a sense of 'spooky' things from time to time. Ms Havisham, how do you deal with this sort of event when the spiritual heartanmind feel or sense a spooky event - the kind that sends shivers up the spine? For instance, in my life I have had several incidences where I felt a presence in the room with me, seemingly another spirit. I recorded such events from time to time in the Encounters in Mind blog.

       

       You erased Ms Havisham's response because she did not properly respond to your question. The reason she did not respond properly is because an unconscious human 'intent' on your part led the question. The problem arose because, without intent, I suggested the Halloween-like sunset, the 'black' in chair further defined Halloween as did the name "Spooky" the black cat with yellow eyes. Ms Havisham first acknowledged that you have witnessed several 'spooky' event throughout your life. She wondered on the underlying intent of the question and her response because she sensed a shift of your thought to your memories of said events. Memories may not have full context. This is what it is to be human - not enough factual data available in the subjective realm of self-knowledge. - Amorella

       2137 hours. Ms Havisham, how do you deal with this problem of lack of factual memory available in the subjective realm of one's inner self knowledge?

       I wait patiently while the spiritual heartanmind resolves the problem of lack of factual memory when one is self-reflecting on herorhis life. Context is the problem because conscious living continues after every event or relationship until physical death. Context moves on with the moment immediate events do not, they become past events, past events are less real than present but the past reality affects the present because it was once real. This is never-ending throughout life. Life is a conditional reality which is not the same thing as a factual reality. - mh

       2152 hours. Are you saying human beings are a conditional reality?

       Subjectively, in self-reflection, yes. This is the spiritual side, the self-reflecting side. Externally, it is how one relates with others that becomes one's spiritual mirror, a kind of empathy in reverse. - mh

       You awoke a little before five with the word, "[sentence]diagramming" in your head the returned to sleep. You awoke again a little before seven with the words "diagramming Soul" before having breakfast and reading the paper with "Morning Joe" in the background. - Amorella

       0756 hours. Sentence diagramming is a bit like "Mind Mapping" plus it digs into the heart of language and the communication of thought. Diagramming Soul is, in my mind, allowing me to better understand 'Soul Thought' which I assume is on a deeper level than human thought and I might learn subtle differences from it to use in English for better translating on my part, although I recognize this is probably not the case sense Amorella is already doing the translating from Soul to English. I just like learning stuff even if it is entirely experimental thinking/writing on my part. 

       Look for a sentence diagramming app. - Amorella

       I assume for clarification that there is an ultimate Hot and an ultimate Dry.Suppose we have a pipe that has the water and air bubbles mixed, the condition of the water may be warm, neither too hot nor too cold for human spiritual comfort. If it were too hot, the water might boil the air out. If it were too cold the water would be frozen with air bubbles contained within the spiritual-like ice.

       There is no pipe. This is the Medium in the human oriented Spirit World. The Medium contains the spiritual Qualities: Fire, Air, Water and Earth; and their separate Conditionals: Hot, Wet, Cold and Dry. The spiritual weather-like conditions are seemingly arbitrary and at times seemingly impassioned, but when the winds whisper quietly, the spirits can steer about. Those human or human-like held souls hear an inner spirit or two from time to time through me, a soul. These sounds picked up by such spirits are accidental and seemingly arbitrary; whisperings both with and without reasoning, as if from the Inner Churnings themselves. Humans would call this seemingly Whole Kernel, Chaos, but Souls know better. Whisperings can be full of a chattering of letter-like sounds -- and once in a while -- a word or two is picked up from a heartanmind protected within the metaphysical shell of a soul such as I. The spiritual human heartanmind inevitably begins to wonder. -mh

You personally don't really want to know. If Fate wins out then what then of the fiction, Free Will? If Free Will wins out then what then of the fiction, Fate? I remember once, I said to you, "Careful what you wish for?" Now, how does that play into the arms of Fate? And, how does that also play into the hands of Free Will? - Amorella

If I have this right, in our blog's analogous Spirit World (as far as empty Souls and heartsansoulsanminds are concerned) begins as an example: first, with a series of 26 unordered 'Conditionals' that are then rearranged into a series of words in plausible intent, these words are then rearranged into an intuitive to reasonable order. This process thus is a deconstruction, as it were, of reading.

I find it continually necessary to ask for clarification because of my old reading disability. I have conquered the disability but I continually need time and reassurance I am on a properly logical (reasonably potential) path; i.e. I have so many computer spelling corrections along the way as well as other simple grammatical issues because I read fingertip content first then catch up with the mental grammar. Such a mess for a supposed writer and retired instructor of English. Such humor, Amorella. If it were not for the continued humor and irony I might consider myself mad.

       Noonish. You saw Owen and Brennan off to school this morning. Owen to the fourth grade and Brennan to the second at Heritage Elementary near Olentangy High School off Lewis Center Road. They were happy and excited as well they should be. Presently Carol is at Kroger's off North State in Westerville. Tomorrow afternoon Jim and Jeanne S. are dropping in for the evening and night on their way home to Atlanta from Upper Michigan where you, Carol, Craig, Alta, Sharon, Bill and Jim and Jeanne stayed for a week in their family cabin some years ago. A good time was had by all. This will be their first visit to the new house. You will be staying with them for a couple nights coming home from Tampa/St. Pete with Craig and Alta in late October, early November. Craig, Jim and you were in the same pledge class at the local Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity, [Country Club] on Grove Street, at Otterbein in 1961. "Staunch friends at all hazards!" Lots of memories. - Amorella

       Afternoon. You are at the Kroger Marketplace on US23 off Lewis Center Road. Carol still has things to pick up that the other store didn't have. You were scanning through what's been written in the blog recently and found an important point that Ms Havisham provided. Here it is:

       1331 hours. I am very curious and excited, this is an adventure to me. What comes to mind is developing a sketch, a diagram of each analogy, as a picture -- I am thinking of Watson and Crick and their DNA double helix which presented a picture to more easily explain and represent their reasoning. I need to put the order in my head so I can more easily explain its roots to myself.

       1340 hours. Thank you, Amorella. I get to overthinking such concepts. Good. Roots I can work with. 

       You are concerned more about the medium the roots grow in.The medium is not off limits either. I'll keep you on the straight and narrow. The medium is the spirit world.- Amorella 

       You had an excellent House Special medium pizza at the Mellow Mushroom for lunch. You complimented the chef, Jim, saying, "It was one of the best pizzas you have ever eaten [out]."  You helped make his day. Carol is in feeding the cats their canned wet food, then you are going to read under the shade of a tree at the Handicap spot at Alum Creek Park beneath the reservoir a mile or so, as the crow flies, from the house. Carol just told you she had other things to do. - Amorella

       1624 hours. Such is life. I can write here in the bedroom as well as at the park. Carol is reading over the mail. Jadah played chase for five minutes or so. I had to go find her under the pillows in the master closet. Now she is almost asleep on the bed looking out the window and Spooky is 'mostly buried under a blanket' on top of the bed about a foot from her. 

       Mr. Orndorff, I agree, this can be written so that you might create a picture form for easier representation after moving through the words in a logical and reasonable manner for better understanding. - mh

       Supper time. You ran a letter to the post office, too late for today but you took it inside. Once home Carol was well into mowing the side yards to the back of the house and soon completed the front about the time you took time to spray grass and weeds in the front flower gardens and a few within the front yard especially near the street curb and two front trees. - Amorella

       1805 hours. Nothing like having company come that focuses the mind on general clean up inside and out. Carol really does a good job mowing. My knees just don't support me walking behind a mower even if it does pull itself along somewhat adequately. I have Grandma Schick's arthritic knees, but not nearly so bad as hers were. Ms. Havisham, what sort of analogy is next in terms of the geography of the Spirit World?

       Shortly after dusk. Carol finished mowing the yard and you trimmed all but about twenty feet of the west side of the yard before the electric ran out. Recharging tonight. You are sitting in your black bedroom chair recovering from the outside heat, Carol has the bedroom TV on waiting for "Rachel Maddow". - Amorella

       Let's begin by imagining a Spirit World, as grammatical verbnoun. The Spirit World is a Being/Placewhere a conditional occurs before it is a quality; as a plausible intention might occur before an improbable design is created. For instance, the two sentences above contain 193 characters and 38 words. A plausible intention may be to first create 193 unordered characters out of 26, then design them into 38 words. - Amorella

       2247 hours. The above paragraph makes sense to me as a kind of backward think. I don't know how reasonable this thought is carried though the sentences however. An Alice Through the Looking Glasstone comes to mind though.

188. Note - Pausing for reflection

       [Repeated from conclusion of yesterday's blog.] Mr. Orndorff has made it clear to me that it is 'conscionable' for him not to share on his blogs and Facebook page; that it is entirely up to him, and he has presently decided not to share this material beyond this point until he is satisfied that the analogies are entirely reasonable within his own heartansoulanmind. - mh

       0944 hours. I find this a humanly difficult situation. I do not like being told by Amorella or anyone else what I can do and not do even if it is by implication. Here is the sentence written by Amorella:

       "He [orndorff] shares on his blogs and Facebook because it would be unconsciousable for him not to share, not because this blog is true because it isn't, if it were [true], there would be no words to share. - Amorella"

       When the words were being written I agreed with 'unconsciousable', but I have had second thoughts. I feel far more comfortable with my second thoughts coming from a long-ago bad experience with writing. Passions may be honest but that does not mean they should always be acted upon. (1011)

187. Notes - it is conscionable

187. 13 August 2019

       Mid-afternoon. You are facing south, a small ten-foot high hill of exposed shale on the other side of a small run and various trees at the bottom of Shale Hollow Park off US 23 and opposite Kroger Market Place at Lewis Center. Carol is working on Chapter Thirty-Six of The House of Secrets. It is a second reading because of the length of time it took to read it the first time. Too many characters and plot twists, she said. Obviously, she likes the book enough to reread it. - Amorella

       1537 hours. It is quite quiet and peaceful out here in the middle of a good-sized woods that reminds me of Ohio's Hocking Hills without the drive. We had a light lunch, splitting an excellent spinach rotisserie chicken wrap, a small bag of Doritos w/ Ranch and two diet Cokes from Subway. 

       The other question you asked me yesterday was: How does the Spirit World connect with the Living? - mh

       1525 hours. I did. I was about to bring it up. 

       It was my question to respond to, Mr. Orndorff, so I brought it up first. - mh

       That was kind and polite of you. Thank you. 

  

       You enjoyed yesterday's analogy so I think it would be good, where we can, use analogies because they are easier for you to get into mentally and more fully understand the implications with deeper thinking. With Amorella's help where needed we will make it plausible to fit the analogies together as we move along increasing your understanding of how it is between Living consciousness and Spirit Consciousness. - mh

       1533 hours.I am both surprised and delighted to 'hear' this. One subtlety I see presently is the small letter after Living consciousness and the capital letters in Spirit Consciousness. 

       Yes. A capital can make a greater difference in translation from the soul which is within the Spirit World as well as 'touching' as it were; the world of the Living through their own spiritual reality, i.e. possessing a soul such as myself for their protection and comfort. - mh

       1543 hours. The words, "this is a backdoor path to G-D, so to speak;" come to mind.

       We are talking strictly about the Spirit World, not a pathway to G-D. - mh

       1546 hours. You cause my fingers to tremble, Amorella. Yes, Ma'am. I am clear. The thought just popped into my head so I automatically ran it through my fingers. I am sorry. Please help me to prevent this from happening again.  -- I shall attempt to be more conscious of what I ask through my fingertips. 

       You had one major rule in your classroom, "Be Polite and Be Respectful". I expect nothing less in this Classroom. - Amorella

       Later. Orndorff doesn't know if he should proceed or not. This is out of politeness and respect, not fear or intimidation. He recognizes me, the Amorella, as a spiritual entity and not a normal part of his humanity. Originally, in the late 1980's he accepted me an undeserved gift because his personal character is such that he felt he had no choice. Orndorff sees me as necessary for his survival as a spiritually oriented human being. I am his personal choice because he sees me as a Friend, an Instructor on his ever-personal quest to continue to be a student while Living. I accept the man for how he is, warts and all, as the old saying goes. I accept my role as his Teacher of what and how it is for him to be a better human being, to think about himself and others spiritually, but first to better understand his own spiritual heartansoulanmind. He knows little about his soul and wants to know more. I am his Teacher and he is my student. He shares on his blogs and Facebook because it would be unconscionable for him not to share, not because this blog is true, because it isn't; if it were, there would be no words to share. It is for his personal understanding on the spiritual side of what leans toward a truth, one without a capital. A truth for discussion's sake because the man enjoys wondering on the human world and how it is. Wondering is enough. Post. - Amorella
