Afternoon. Carol mowed the yard and you worked on the trimming after a fall while mowing. You have not completed the trimming but plan on it in the evening. This was your first day working outside when the heat began to affect you adversely. (Still shades of the after effect of being stuck near the bottom of the Grand Canyon with no water for a day back in 1960. Temperature was about 125 or so, in June as you and your companions remember it.)
1633 hours. George Miles saved my life along with help from George Musson and Gary Jackson. Two German hikers saw our plight and told the rangers on top when they got up and out. The next day hikers who went down not as far as we did (we crawled back due to lack of energy) shared some food and water with us. We eventually crawled up and out about 2300 hours that night. The restaurant near Bright Angel Trail let us use their showers for free and we bought food. I don't know where we slept that night. Anyway, we moved on west towards California the next day. None of the others had reoccurring health problems because of the adventure, but hey, we all survived. We drove my Dad's 1952 green Willes Jeep out Rt. 66 and we're on the road six weeks. We got our kicks and more.

1918 hours. I don't see how to condense some of the material. I have a few of numbering corrections for consistencies' sake, but it seems to me that the whole coding will have to be done once these commentary pieces are condensed and after that, even further condensed. First though, I need categories, Miss Havisham says five. I don't have much of a clue as to where to begin. This choice is Miss Havisham's work as I cannot understand categories from a soul's perspective. I need to be enlightened in terms of a translatable codex. (1927)
Evening. Carol is in bed reading her Coben novel while you are in the black lounger typing. Jadah and Spooky are moving about in the room to settle also. - Amorella
2141 hours. I have the east side of the house and the back steps to trim. The battery will recharge by morning. Otherwise, no more yard work until next weekend. I have absolutely no idea of Miss Havisham's approach to five categories.

2301 hours. What I know about Miss Havisham. She shows use of: A. distance (here to there); B. shape (circle); C. height (flat and flatter); D. reason (who, what, where, why); E. numbers (one, two, three); F. protection (defense); . .
Basic Qualities: The four classical virtues: prudence; temperance; courage; justice. Plus, kindness; humility; hope; honesty; friendship (trust); compassion; empathy . . .
2323 hours. The above are examples of our better humanity (individually and living within a social structure). These examples are not five categories however. Miss Havisham, please help me a word to work within terms of a category.

It is not easy to say what metaphysics is. Ancient and Medieval philosophers might have said that metaphysics was, like chemistry or astrology, to be defined by its subject-matter: metaphysics was the “science” that studied “being as such” or “the first causes of things” or “things that do not change”. It is no longer possible to define metaphysics that way, for two reasons. First, a philosopher who denied the existence of those things that had once been seen as constituting the subject-matter of metaphysics—first causes or unchanging things—would now be considered to be making thereby a metaphysical assertion. Second, there are many philosophical problems that are now considered to be metaphysical problems (or at least partly metaphysical problems) that are in no way related to first causes or unchanging things—the problem of free will, for example, or the problem of the mental and the physical. --
